Gift subscription service in the DVD rental software is a unique way of letting members of DVD Rental Solutions gift Rental Plans to their family or friends.

The procedure is simple, they need to logon to their member account and click on 'gift a subscription' . The website will ask the name and email ID of the person to whom the gift subscription will be sent. The gifter will select the period of subscription he wants to gift and pay the charges accordingly. 

Once this process is completed  a mail is sent to the user and the friend containing the gift code. The friend can then log back into the site and use the unique code mailed to him to start using his gift subscription. 

When the subscription is about to expire, reminders are sent to the users to renew it. If they do not choose to renew it, their subscription for that plan becomes inactive but they remain in the contact list
